Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one treatment branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that focuses on adjusting and regulating the flow of the body’s vital energy (Qi) through the insertion of acupuncture needles at specific points on the body.

The body’s vital energies flow along pathways called meridians that are connected to the organs of the body as defined by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupuncture can also be used to relieve tension within the muscles of the body, being inserted into areas that hold said tension.

The needles are very thin, flexible and produce minimal sensation to the patient. They are also single use, discarded into a sealed container after each patient, and never reused.
Acupuncture can also be used to relieve tension within the muscles of the body, being inserted into areas that hold said tension. In this case, the muscles may experience a stronger sensation, occasionally leading to the muscles contracting and releasing.

Common issues people seek acupuncture treatment for include body pain, digestive ailments, stress, hormonal imbalances, metabolism regulation, mental & emotional balance, deeper connection with the body & with self, expansion of one’s awareness, fertility & conception support (both men and women), post-partum support, men’s & women’s reproductive health including menopause and andropause, and more.

No special clothing is required, though it is encouraged to bring shorts if possible as needles may be commonly placed on the lower leg and the rolling up of one’s clothing may be unworkable or restrictive.
