Turmeric is one of the healthiest spices on the planet and it gets its health benefits from its main active ingredient, curcumin, which is packed with antioxidants and is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

It is believed that chronic inflammation plays a big role in diseases ranging from cancer to heart disease and Turmeric can be a great addition to help naturally decrease this inflammation.

Curcumin contains vital minerals including iron, manganese, potassium, and magnesium and is further believed to boost your brain function, ease arthritis pain, and even help with depression.


This is a simple, super-powered, anti-inflammatory elixir. It’s earthy, sweet, refreshing and a little spicy.


(makes 1 serving)

● ½ small carrot, cut into chunks

● 1 tbsp flax seeds

● 1 cup coconut water

● ½ tsp dried turmeric

● ½ tbsp freshly grated ginger

● Juice from ½ orange

● ½ tbsp maple syrup

● Dash of sriracha

● Dash of cinnamon

Now, place the carrot, flax seeds, and coconut water in a high-speed blender and blend until the carrot and flax are fully incorporated. Next, add the other ingredients and blend well.

Lastly, pour into a glass and enjoy!
